My mom was a very good cook. She was my first chef and shared with me her love for food. She taught me a few simple recipes. I was still in elementary school when I started inviting my friends for grilled cheese and tomato soup! Washing dishes was my first professional position but I was quickly promoted to “salad boy” taking care of the salad bar at the hotel. I immediately fell in love with the service industry. After getting a degree in food and beverage administration from I.T.H.Q. in Montreal, I apprenticed as a cook in France and Switzerland for 4 years.
I also have a passion for skiing, so I decided to move to Lake Tahoe, California. Working in ski resorts I could combine both my passion for skiing and food into one exciting lifestyle. Catering, banquets, and special events became my specialty. “We can serve anything anywhere” was our motto. I recently decided to get back to the East Coast to get closer to my aging parents. Vermont seemed the obvious choice to keep the mountain lifestyle.
I am now excited to have the chance to serve healthy meals to energetic school kids.
